Near Space

UAT Near Space is a amateur near space engineering experiment facilitated by the university. A team of 10 students studied logistical information as well as planned, executed, launched, and recovered a near space capsule that reached 93,000 ft above the Earth’s surface. The payload consisted of a flight computer (BasicStamp 2) with thermistor, pressure sensors, accelerometer and gyroscope, GPS, HAM radio, and other experiments.
